Sandblasting (often referred to as Bead Blasting) is an essential surface finishing process used to clean, texturize, and prepare parts for final coating. By propelling a stream of abrasive media at high velocity against the workpiece, we can remove CNC machining tool marks, burrs, and heat-treat scales, leaving behind a uniform, non-directional matte finish.

  • Media Variety: We stock multiple media types, including Glass Beads (for cleaning and satin finishes), Aluminum Oxide (for aggressive etching and matte finishes), and Ceramic Grit (for tough metals).
  • Roughness Control: We can target specific Ra values (e.g., Ra 1.6µm or Ra 3.2µm) by adjusting particle size (Mesh #80 to #220) and blasting pressure.
  • Precision Masking: Sandblasting is abrasive. We expertly mask critical features like bearing bores, sealing surfaces, and threads to ensure they remain untouched and within tolerance.
  • Large Part Capacity: Our walk-in blasting rooms accommodate large frames and chassis, while automated cabinets handle small precision parts.
